The Detroit Lions 2019 Season Ticket Members Summit was an even chock full of interesting moments. The festivities started off with a panel of the Lions’ strength and conditioning program, including trainers, nutritionists and everything in between.
Next up were the coordinators. Lions fans got to meet offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and were reintroduced to new/old special teams coordinator John Bonamego. Defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni was there, too, to talk about the defensive improvements from last year.
Finally, it was time for the main event. For over an hour, team president Rod Wood, general manager Matt Patricia and head coach Matt Patricia were peppered with mostly-unfiltered questions from season ticket holders. In many cases, fans didn’t hold back. One fan criticized the team for treating season ticket holders on a payment plan lesser than those who paid in full. Another admonished the team for the Jets game—that fan’s first particular game as a season ticket holder.
It was a fascinating event that had way too many developments to put in one spot. So Monday night, I was joined by John Whiticar and Chris Perfett to talk about everything that happened and everything that was said on Monday.
