Super Bowl 53 is over, which means it’s time to immediately bet on Super Bowl 54, you heathens.
Lucky for you, the folks in Vegas are extremely prepared to take your money and have already released odds for next year’s NFL Championship game. The Detroit Lions—who, as I don’t need to remind you, have not won a championship in 62 years, are amongst the very bottom tier of teams according to the Vegas odds.
Here’s a look at their Super Bowl LIV odds per a few sports booking agents.
OddsShark: 100/1 — only 2 teams with longer odds (Washington, Dolphins)
Sportsbook USA: 100/1 — only 1 team with longer odds (Dolphins)
BetOnline.AG: 80/1 — 4 teams with longer odds (Cardinals, Dolphins, Jets, Raiders)
This should come as little surprise considering the Lions finished just 6-10 last year and will hold the eighth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. However, knowing Lions fans, those odds will be tempting enough for some people looking for an extra treat should Detroit do the impossible next year and not only appear in their first ever Super Bowl, but win it.
As for me, I’ll save the money for the Super Bowl tickets.
