2019 Detroit Lions free agency news and rumor tracker

Half of the fun of free agency isn’t the final results, but the ride. It’s the journey, not the destination, as they say.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to get a flurry of news and rumors as the Lions will likely be linked to tens of free agents, most of which they won’t end up signing. But if you’re like me, you have an insatiable desire for every little nugget of rumors that come in the Lions’ direction.

That’s where we’ll come in. Every tiny piece of news, we’ll log in our Detroit Lions free agency rumor tracker. If the Lions are hosting someone for a visit, you’ll see it here. If an analyst says Detroit is in a bidding war for someone, we’ll have it. And, of course, any time the Lions make an actual signing, it’ll be listed below.

• TE Jesse James - Contract terms are out: 4-years, $25 million.
• DE Ezekiel Ansah - Has scheduled visits with Saints, Bills
• RB Zach Zenner - Drawing interest from Vikings
• EDGE Trey Flowers - Contract terms are out: 5 years, $90 million
• RB Zach Zenner - Re-signing with Lions
• G Oday Aboushi - Signing 1-year deal worth up to $2 million

March 11

• EDGE Trey Flowers - ESPN’s Dan Graziano calls the Lions a team to watch, as Flowers could get up to $18 million/year.
• LB C.J. Mosley - NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero says the Lions are “likely to be in on Mosley,” along with the Ravens, Jets, Colts, Eagles and Washington.
