Trey Flowers has already made a great impression with the Detroit Lions.
Detroit officially announced the signing of the deal on Thursday morning, a contract reportedly spanning five years that will pay the top-tier edge defender $90 million over the course of his Lions career.
It was a marquee signing and Flowers made his presence known simply with the photo of him signing his contract with the Lions:

Okay, what probably first sticks out is the fact that he doesn’t exactly have the facial expression of a person who just signed a deal that will pay him $56 million guaranteed. But look at little closer.
That sweatshirt he’s wearing says the word “CHAMPIONSHIPS” on it. Though the shirt is officially a Meek Mill hoodie based on his latest album, he is certainly sending a message, whether intentionally or not. He doesn’t just want money in Detroit, he wants championships. Obviously, the money helps, but Flowers was very specific on where he wanted to play in free agency, and Matt Patricia was reportedly a big reason why.
As someone who has already won a couple championships in New England, hopefully Flowers can win a couple more in Detroit.
