Ask POD: Live free agency or die hard

Week 1 of free agency is in the books, and it has already been a whirlwind. At this time last week, I was preaching caution to the Detroit Lions fanbase. No way could the nab a top-tier pass rusher, the best free agent on the market and some secondary help all in the same offseason. The Lions rarely sign a single free agent fans are dreaming of, so there’s no way the rope two or three.

Yet that’s exactly what the Lions did... on the first freakin’ day, no less. So the PODcast crew is ready to celebrate, analyze and, to be quite frank, pinch ourselves to make sure this is all real.

This week, we’ll be bringing PFF’s Brett Whitefield along with us for the ride to give us all the analytics on Detroit’s newest players, and break down his thoughts on how they will play into Detroit’s plans.
