The NFL schedule is set to be released Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET, as announced on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” program.
- Last week, the NFL announced the preseason schedule. For the Detroit Lions, that means four exhibition games against the Patriots, Texans, Bills and Browns.
As for the regular season schedule, we already know who the Lions will be playing, just not when they’ll be playing them. At this point, we know Detroit has home games against the Bears, Packers, Vikings, Cowboys, Giants, Chiefs, Chargers, and Buccaneers. In 2019, they’ll travel to play the Bears, Packers, Vikings, Washington, Raiders, Eagles, Broncos and Cardinals.
However, we still don’t know how many nationally televised games they’ll have, including Sunday Night, Monday Night or Thursday Night games. It will also be important to note when they play some of their outdoor away games. Unlike last year, Detroit will be playing outdoors a lot on the road, and the weather could play a factor in places like Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Denver, Chicago and, of course, Green Bay.
