Now is the season of discontent. As fans continue to get more and more hyped with the 2019 Detroit Lions, more and more lists and predictions will continue to come out, and chances are most of them not going to give Detroit a lot of respect.

So instead of yelling into the void, let’s talk about this Detroit Lions team and where they’re being underappreciated. Today’s Question of the Day is:

Who is the most underrated player on the Detroit Lions?

My answer: The very first name that came to mind is Da’Shawn Hand, as I’m sure most fans outside of Detroit haven’t even heard of the guy. However, I also think Lions fans may be prematurely putting Hand on a pedestal. He had a hell of a rookie season, but now that teams have tape on him, It will be up to Hand to continue that upward trend.

Instead, I’m going with Damon Harrison Sr. The fact that Snacks has gone his entire career without a Pro Bowl and only has one season on the All Pro list is all you need to know about how underrated this guy is. He’s arguably been the league’s best nose tackle for years, and the only people that seem to notice are the fans of the team he’s on and Pro Football Focus.

The man is an absolute terror, and if this league wasn’t so obsessed with sack numbers, Snacks would be one of the most easily-recognized names on the defensive side of the ball. Instead, he’s constantly overlooked.

Your turn.
