Ask POD: Finals week

It’s finals week around the sports world, but we’re just entering the offseason abyss.

NFL: Detroit Lions-Minicamp Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Around the sports landscape it’s finals week. The Stanley Cup Finals are well underway. Game 2 of the NBA Finals takes place on Sunday. And around the academic world, students are finishing up their semester with some finals.

As for football, well, there’s not a lot going on. There’s one more week of OTAs left, but mandatory minicamp is wedged into the schedule before that. There are a few interesting storylines to follow for the Detroit Lions. There’s the ongoing saga of contract situations regarding Damon Harrison Sr. and Darius Slay. Teez Tabor hype has reemerged after it appeared it had been squashed forever.

But, of course, storylines in May and June rarely mean much when it comes to December and January. We can hype up this team as much as we want right now, but there’s nothing definitive to be said about the Lions until they take the field in Arizona against the Cardinals.

So while we’ll touch on all of the above topics on this week’s PODcast, we’ll need some help. In the comment section below, send us any and all of your questions for the PODcast. Get creative, and get your questions in quick. We record on Saturday afternoon.
