If you’re like me, the first day of training camp is a fun one for fans. With everyone accounted for at the Detroit Lions’ opening practice*, it’s the first chance for us to get a look at how the team may look in 2019. That means consuming every single piece of media available and jumping to some major conclusions based on a single practice with no pads on.
Yes, it’s irresponsible. Yes, the Lions were missing a few key pieces to their team on Thursday, but who the hell cares? THROW CAUTION TO THE WIND, BABY. IT’S TRAINING CAMP!
So to give you more content that you can justifiably overreact to, I spoke for an hour on Thursday night on my observations from the opening practice. I carelessly speculated as to why A’Shawn Robinson was missing. I talked about some unique formation swaps the Lions did on defense, and what was different from 2019’s practice compared to last year. And I made a call to Lions fans everywhere.
