The Lions are finally back in action at Allen Park, and seemingly out of nowhere the news cycle has ramped up from next to nothing to our editors drowning in work. Everything from a spicy Mike Daniels signing to the shocking release of Theo Riddick to the rapid ascension of T.J. Hockenson in camp have got hopes high and Lions fans optimistic once more.
In a few days, however, we’ll all realize that watching seven second clips of a training camp scrimmage and trying to derive observations from individual positional drills just doesn’t give us our fill of football.
With that being the case, today’s question is:
Which Lions preseason game are you looking forward to the most?
My answer: The Patriots game, duhh.
And I don’t say so just because it’s the Pats. Of course there’s the Matt Patricia / Bob Quinn “Patriot Way” narrative that will never go away, but more importantly I chose the game simply because it’s the first one.
We’ll get to see a real, live, fast-paced sixty minutes of football and after the first preseason game we’ll know for certain that this year is the Lions’ year. We’ll also know that that fourth-string wide receiver who juked out a roster bubble defensive back is the next Megatron, and that Matt Patricia’s defense will be the best in the NFL because it held the Pats’ third-string offense to no points.
Your turn!
