The Detroit Lions were not chosen to be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks this year, but that does not mean fans will not be able to get an inside look to the team's training camp this season.
Inside the Den, the Lions own self-made version of Hard Knocks returned on Tuesday, and it featured the opening days of the team’s camp. Watch quarterback Matthew Stafford work through the first days of practice with new quarterback coach Sean Ryan. See other stars and youngsters as they work through the team’s return to football.
Expect new episodes of Inside the Den to come out weekly over the next month or so, and keep watch of the teams official Twitter and Facebook accounts to stay up to date as the show continues all the way through preseason.
- ESPN brought together writers from all over “NFL Nation” on Tuesday, and each beat writer made a bold prediction for their teams training camp. Detroit beat writer Michael Rothstein predicted oft-maligned cornerback Teez Tabor to make the roster in a heated cornerback battle.
- Lions Twitter exploded Tuesday as video of rookie linebacker Jahlani Tavai making an impressive interception of Stafford hit our timelines.

- Official team reporters Tim Twentyman and Mike O’Hara had a few observations from Day 5 of Lions training camp on Tuesday.
- Stafford managed to complete passes to both of the Lions first two picks on Tuesday, but this one is a touch more impressive. The quarterback found rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson for a nice pass outside here.
