Late in practice on Thursday, rookie cornerback Amani Oruwariye began taking some first-team reps with the defense ahead of third-year corner Teez Tabor. On Friday afternoon, we may have found out why.

Tabor was not fully dressed at Friday’s scrimmage at Ford Field, and he appeared to be sporting some sort of bandage around his right leg. Take a look:

Tabor was off to an impressive camp so far. He has clearly entered his third year with a renewed, humbled attitude after his first two seasons in the NFL have resulted in just five start without a single pass deflection to his name. Last year was particularly tough for Tabor, as he allowed a perfect passer rating in 12 game appearances.

With Darius Slay removed from the Non-Football Injury list on Friday, Tabor’s first-team reps may have been gone anyways, but it’s still an unfortunate setback for a player that was starting to gain some significant buzz.
