2019 Detroit Lions cut tracker: Live updating transactions to 53-man roster

Live updates as the Lions work their way down to a 53-man roster.

This is the toughest weekend in the NFL. Most teams enter the weekend with 90 players on the roster. All of them will finish with just 53.

It’s an impossible task for general managers to take on, and a completely nerve-wrecking weekend for thousands of NFL players. Around 1,200 athletes will be forced to turn in their playbook and find a job elsewhere. It’s one of the uglier sides of this game, and to be honest, it’s my least favorite 48 hours of the year.

But we’ll be here to walk you all through it as the Lions shave their roster down 37 players. Last year, they made several moves on Friday, while finishing up the rest on Saturday night.

Stick right here and keep hitting that refresh button, as we’ll make note of every single transaction over the next two days and update the roster list accordingly.

Remember: the deadline to cut down the roster to 53 players is 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
