The Detroit Lions are waiving undrafted rookie receiver Jonathan Duhart, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free press.

Duhart was quickly signed by the Lions after the conclusion of the 2019 NFL draft and got to join college roommate Travis Fulgham in the Lions receiving room after the duo tore things up at Old Dominion. He never managed to make a name for himself in a crowded group of depth receivers, though, and he was not able to overcome the long odds needed to make the 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent.

The move is good news for some of the other depth receivers on Detroit’s roster, as the team has to inevitably keep a few of them. It is possible that Duhart makes the practice squad, but he could also find another team if someone chooses to snag him off of waivers.
