I think it IS time to start worrying about ONE thing

And that is. . . .

That this is Bob Quinn's fourth year now and he has yet to prove that he has done much of anything to shore up the Lion's depth - especially through the draft.

I remember when he was hired - that was one of his main supposed " strengths " which helped him win the job. It was thought that he was gonna bring in a " Patriot's Way " sort of " experience " in developing the bottom half of the roster. It was said - you know - " that injuries happen in the NFL ' - and so - " you need a strong bottom half of the roster for depth and for special teams ".

I just AM NOT SEEING IT - yet anyway.

We CLEARLY do not have anything like quality depth yet at :

1. Back up QB

2. Offensive Tackle

and

3. Outside Corner

These are exactly the positions where you NEED quality depth - and here it is year four of the Bob Quinn era and we do not have it.

ALSO, very little of the depth that we do have, has come from Quinn's four - count em - 4 drafts.

At back up QB Quinn has really only taken a draft flier on Brad Kaaya - and then he decided to not continue developing him.

At OT - again - the only real later round OT prospect taken by Quinn in four years has been Tyrell Crosby - We remain frightfully thin at backup OT and Crosby looks for all the world like he does not have the feet to play OT at an NFL level.

At CB, the only pick in four year that qualifies as a potential quality depth piece is Jamal Agnew - maybe Amani O also qualifies - but neither of these guys could potentially be counted on yet to step in and start in case of an injury.

I am not saying fire Quinn or anything like that. However, I am a little concerned. I am more so inclined to think that Quinn has done a good job in FA and in the earlier rounds of the draft.

However, the Lion's depth at key positions is still lacking after four offseasons.
