The Detroit Lions were back at practice on Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Unlike their NFC opponent, the Lions are actually entering the week fairly healthy.
Like last week, linebacker Jarrad Davis and left tackle Taylor Decker appeared to take part in most individual drills during the open portion of practice according to several media members on hand. Both missed Sunday’s game against the Chargers, and both remain listed as limited in their participation at practice.
Rashaan Melvin is completely off the injury report at this point, as it appears his knee injury is no longer limiting him.
The Philadelphia Eagles, on the other hand, were so beat up the team decided to simply run a walkthrough on Wednesday. Key among their injuries are defensive tackle Tim Jernigan, who head coach Doug Pederson has all but ruled out for this week. Additionally, wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery suffered injuries on Sunday night, and were called day-to-day by Pederson. All of those players were given a “did not practice” designation.
