Detroit Lions Week 3 inactives: Jarrad Davis, Taylor Decker WILL PLAY vs. Eagles

The Lions will have all hands on deck vs. Eagles.

The Detroit Lions are about as healthy as you could possibly want going into Week 3 of the regular season. In fact, all 22 starters are active for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles (depending on whether you think Da’Shawn Hand is a starter or not).

That means the linebacker Jarrad Davis will make his 2019 debut after suffering an ankle injury in the third preseason game. Davis is expected to start, which means the Lions’ defensive play-caller will assume his leadership role with the defense again. How will that affect the team’s usage of rookie linebacker Jahlani Tavai? Time will tell.

Additionally, left tackle Taylor Decker is also ACTIVE after missing last week’s game with a back injury. That’s good timing for the Lions, as the Eagles have a notoriously challenging pass rush that features Brandon Graham as their premier rusher. That being said, Tyrell Crosby played well in Decker’s absence, so if his back flares up, Crosby should be ready to jump in.

Another interesting note. Wide receiver Marvin Hall, who was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday is ACTIVE, and could play a role in special teams on Sunday.

It’s a different story for the Eagles, however. Starting wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery are INACTIVE, leaving Philly’s receiving corps decimated for Week 3.

Here’s a look at both team’s inactives for Week 3.
