The Detroit Lions’ Wednesday injury report has a few new faces and a few players completely gone from the injury report.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola missed practice with a chest injury suffered late against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Mike Daniels also missed practice with a foot injury that had him in crutches postgame.
The good news: Jarrad Davis and Taylor Decker are now completely off the injury report. That’s especially promising for Davis, who has been fighting an ankle sprain since the preseason and even had to leave Sunday’s game—his first game back—temporarily to get his ankle taped.
Darius Slay was listed as limited for Wednesday, but during the open portion of practice he didn’t appear to do much. How he progresses through the week will determine if he plays against a talented Kansas City Chiefs receiving corps.
As for the Chiefs, their injury report hasn’t been released quite yet, but head coach Andy Reid notified the media that three key players would not practice: starting left tackle Eric Fisher, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back Damien Williams. All three players did not play last week and could be in danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Lions.
