The Detroit Lions will be somewhat healthy going into their afternoon game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The team announced their seven inactive players and starting cornerback Rashaan Melvin was not on the list, meaning he will play and likely start. That’s great news for Detroit, a team that isn’t particularly deep at outside corner and may have been forced to start fifth-round rookie Amani Oruwariye in his place.

Unfortunately, Jarrad Davis is not active Sunday, which should come as no surprise considering how serious his injury in the third preseason game looked. However, the fact that he traveled with the team and even warmed up is certainly a positive sign that he could return soon.

That means of the Lions’ seven inactive players, only two are suffering from injuries.

As for the Cardinals, they will be missing starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert this week, who was ruled out on Friday after suffering a knee injury during practice this week. Former first-round pick Haason Reddick is ACTIVE.

Here’s a look at each team’s inactives.
