The Minnesota Vikings are coming off their second walk-off playoff win over the New Orleans Saints in three years, and it leads them out west to Levi’s Stadium where they will take on the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers have been one of the most well-rounded teams in the league this season, and offensive mastermind Kyle Shanahan’s vision is finally coming together in year 3 in the bay. A healthy Jimmy Garoppolo has lit a fire under the 49ers offense and turned All-Pro tight end George Kittle into a household name.
Both teams seem to have peaked a little early, with the 49ers and Vikings both struggling in the home stretch of the regular season. After getting Dalvin Cook and Adam Theilen back, however, the Vikings finally look like their old selves and seem to match up well against San Francisco. The 49ers will need a clean game from Jimmy G against a stout Vikings defense that got the best of Drew Brees last week if they want to come out victorious.
I’ve got the Vikings 31-23. Let me know your thoughts and predictions below.
