There are only three NFL games left in the season, so you better start savoring it. In fact, why not savor all of football by enjoying Monday Night’s College Football National Championship Game between the LSU Tigers and the Clemson... Tigers.
You shouldn’t need reasons to watch, but I’ll give a few anyways.
One, it’s high-stakes football. With emotions on the line and memories to be made, every single play matters more and you can feel the energy beaming off the television. It’s easy to lose sight of this, but these are kids playing the game and for every player that takes the field Monday night, they’re creating a memory that will last forever.
Two: It’s actually the two teams that deserve to be there. 14-0 Clemson vs. 140-0 LSU. It’s nice when a plan comes together.
Three: Draft stuff. If you want to overreact to one game on a prospect you’re hoping the Lions snag, tonight is the night! Good competition, huge stage, all the proper setting for your favorite draft prospect to either shine or blow it. Whether it be Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons or LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton, this game is full of draft prospects that could end up in a Detroit Lions jersey.
I’m not going to make a prediction, because college football isn’t really my bag, but enjoy the game everyone, and be sure to share your observations in the comment section below.
