We’ve finally made to the week of the NFL Conference Championships. After two weeks in a row of very entertaining football, this weekend sets up to be another good one.
In the NFC game, the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will meet up for the second time this season. The 49ers annihilated the Packers 37-8 earlier in November. Since then, however, the Packers have been riding a six-game win streak.
In the AFC game, the Tennessee Titans are looking to continue to play the spoiler role this postseason against the favored Kansas City Chiefs. This feels a bit like a David vs. Goliath scenario, but the Titans seem up to the challenge.
Today’s question is:
Who are you rooting for in the Conference Championship games this weekend?
For me, the first game is an easy one. I’m going with the 49ers. Yes, it’s fun to root against the Packers, but I’ve also enjoyed watching the 49ers play this season. I think they are extremely well coached under Kyle Shanahan and deserve to be in the Super Bowl this season.
On the other side, I’m really torn. As a Lions fan, I love rooting for the underdog, so the Titans are appealing. But they’re also boring. And for that reason, I’m going to go with the Chiefs.
I think a Chiefs vs. 49ers Super Bowl would be high-scoring and extremely entertaining.
What do you think? Who are you rooting for this weekend?
