We’re a long ways from the 2020 NFL Draft, but it’s never too early to start speculating. Joe Burrow is a lock for the No. 1 overall pick, while Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert will go in the top 10, give or take a few, almost for certain. It seems like every year, however, a few teams will fall in love with raw quarterbacks and take an early chance on them.
Question of the day: How many quarterbacks will go in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft?
My answer: 5. Burrow, Tua, Herbert, Jordan Love, and Jacob Eason.
The first three are locks, in my opinion. Love is a very raw, yet very talented quarterback out of Utah State. He’s at the Senior Bowl this week, which is usually results in a big jump up draft boards. A team like the Colts wouldn’t surprise me if they nabbed Love.
Jacob Eason was a highly touted quarterback coming out of high School. With Jake Fromm taking over the starting spot at Georgia, Eason transferred to Washington for his junior year and has now declared for the draft. With limited tape and a history of high praise, a team could very easily fall in love with his potential in a Trubisky-esque way.
