Today marks exactly one week before Super Bowl Sunday, which means it’s time for the real fun. That’s right, the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here. It’s Pro Bowl day. The NFC and AFC stars will face off against each other in sunny Orlando, Florida.
The Lions have sent two of their stars to represent them in this game: Kenny Golladay and Darius Slay. Golladay was originally named as a third alternate, but gets to participate in place of Tampa Bay receiver Chris Godwin, who is unable to participate.
The Pro Bowl starts at 3:00 p.m. ET, which you can watch on ESPN or ABC.
Will you be watching the Pro Bowl?
My answer: Never.
Of all the all-star games and special events in sports, the Pro Bowl is by far the least interesting to me. I don’t mean to come across as a complete snob, but I’m a big proponent for defensive football, and the Pro Bowl represents everything I don’t want to see in a football game.
It’s understandable, of course. It would be a travesty to injure yourself during a meaningless game. I don’t necessarily know what I would do to fix the event and make it more watchable, and I don’t really think it even serves a purpose other than giving some of the best players in the world some time to go have some fun. And that’s okay, though. It’s just not for me.
But, if you do plan on watching the game, let us know what your plans are in the comments below and enjoy yourself.
