The last time the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints faced off, it resulted in one of the most exciting plays in NFL playoff history. The Minneapolis Miracle happened just a couple of years ago, but Stefon Diggs’ sideline catch and subsequent scamper for a game-winning score will clearly be in the minds of many players who take the field this afternoon.
The Saints have been NFC favorites from the get-go, despite an injury to Drew Brees early in the season. They’ve been one of the most consistent teams in the NFL, but just barely missed out on a first-round bye.
The Vikings, on the other hand, have been as inconsistent as they come. It wasn’t all that long ago when it seemed like Diggs was seeking the first flight out of Minnesota and Kirk Cousins was being deemed one of the worst quarterback contracts in football.
Since then, they’ve put on an offensive clinic, but they struggled in the last couple games, losing out on their chance to win the NFC North when the Packers outclassed them. Can the Vikings prove they’re true contenders and Cousins a true gamer?
Here’s how to watch the first of the NFC Wild Card doubleheader.
