Do not adjust your screen, you are reading that correctly: we have ourselves a rare edition of Tuesday Night Football.

This is just the second NFL game to occur on a Tuesday since 1946. The most recent game was an Eagles-Vikings game that was postponed due to heavy snow in 2010. Ten years later, we have another postponement, but for very different reasons.

The Tennessee Titans have been hit hard by COVID-19, and it has thrown their schedule into turmoil, which has in turn thrown the NFL schedule into turmoil. Their bye week was moved up from Week 7 to Week 4, in order to manage the COVID outbreak prior to their game versus the Steelers. This prompted the rare Tuesday Night Football game that we get to experience tonight. The Titans are 3-0 so far this season, but you have to wonder how their preparation has been impacted. Remote film studies are hardly equivalent to practices. With seven players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, their roster is looking thin.

The Buffalo Bills are also undefeated, although they enter with a 4-0 record. Their offense has been electric thus far, and Josh Allen is looking like an MVP candidate through the first quarter of the season. With the Patriots dynasty no longer looming over the AFC East, Buffalo looks primed to take the top spot. The Bills defense is not as stout as it has been in recent years, coming in as the 22nd ranked defense per DVOA, so tonight’s test against the Titans should provide an ample test.
