NFL Week 6 Madden Simulation: Detroit Lions at Jacksonville Jaguars

Can the virtual Lions make it two in a row?

Last week, we got the Detroit Lions their first win in our Madden Sims as we stacked the deck in their favor against the worst team in the video game: The New York Jets. Now, the virtual Lions have a chance to put a “real” win on the board against their Week 6 real-life opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Lions sit at an 80 overall rating, while the Jaguars are near the bottom of the league with an unimpressive 77 rating. All that seems fairly based in reality, as the real-life Lions are a 3-point favorite over the home team this Sunday.

But the virtual Lions have been perhaps even worse than the product on the actual field. Video game Matthew Stafford looks like a stone in the pocket, and his most popular pass is “bullet pass, inaccurate.” Meanwhile, I’m fairly certain no Lions running back has rushed for more than 30 yards in a simulation yet. As for their defense... well, that part looks pretty accurate.

So come join us at 10:30 a.m. ET on our Twitch channel as we see if the Lions can pull off a big virtual win, as I run a Q&A answering all of your questions.

If you miss it live, we’ll include a video of the game and Q&A below this when the game concludes.
