Sunday Night Football open thread: Seahawks at Cardinals

It’s a pivotal NFC West game tonight.

Originally scheduled to be the Buccaneers and Raiders, we will instead get an NFC West matchup on Sunday night.

The Arizona Cardinals had a two-week hiccup against the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers, but they appear to have righted the ship with a pair of dominant wins over the Jets and Cowboys. Although arguably two of the worst teams in the league, the Cardinals held both of these offenses to just 10 points each in Weeks 5 and 6. Kenyan Drake finally found running room against Dallas, exploding for 164 yards and two touchdowns. Kyler Murray completed a mere nine passes last week, but the Cowboys as a whole were fairly inept. The Cardinals will face a tougher foe tonight.

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the few remaining undefeated teams in the NFL, and they have the added benefit of a bye prior to this divisional matchup. They had their narrowest victory of the season over the Vikings in Week 5, but that means little when you have an offense composed of Russell Wilson, D.K. Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett. With the Cardinals and Rams both sitting at 4-2, a win tonight would give Seattle another much needed edge in the division.

Here’s how to watch.
