Lions left tackle Taylor Decker appeared on the injury report on Thursday with a shoulder injury. He was limited on Thursday and out on Friday (although reporters noted he was doing a little doing warmups). He is currently listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. If Decker can’t go, the Lions would likely slide Tyrell Crosby to left tackle and move Halapoulivaati Vaitai to right tackle. Joe Dahl would then likely slip into one of the guard spots.
Elsewhere, it looks like Desmond Trufant may still be a week away, as the veteran cornerback is listed, too, as questionable after being limited in practice with a hamstring injury. Additionally, nickel cornerback Darryl Roberts is questionable with a mid-week groin/hip injury. The good news is that there’s a strong possibility starting nickel Justin Coleman is activated from injured reserve this weekend to start against the Colts.
The Colts got some good news on Friday. All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard was a full participant in practice and was not given an injury designation for Sunday. That means he’ll make his return after missing one game.
However, the bad news for Indianapolis is that starting center Ryan Kelly did not practice for the second straight day. He, along with tight end Mo Alie-Cox, are listed as questionable for Week 8. If Kelly can’t go, the Colts will likely start rookie fifth-round pick Danny Pinter in his place.
