Surprise surprise, the Lions have made it to 3-3. After cratering to begin the year, Detroit has crawled back to .500 following last-second theatrics in Atlanta. Now, they have to do something they haven’t done since 2017: put up wins in three consecutive weeks.
The Indianapolis Colts are their next foe, and a pretty pretty of a mixed bag. Their defense ranks 4th in Football Outsider’s DVOA, but their offense rates a meager 22nd. Philip Rivers is rapidly aging before your eyes, but it won’t matter if the Colts defense starts to get to Matthew Stafford.
The opportunity is there for the Lions to get right back into the thick of things, especially after the Chicago Bears dropped a game against the Rams on Thursday.
