After a good 12-hour scare, the Week 4 game between the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints is on and will happen on Sunday afternoon.
It’s a prime opportunity for both teams to get back on track. For the Lions, they can reach a respectable 2-2 record by the bye week after a rough start. For the Saints, it’s an opportunity to avoid their first three-game losing streak since 2016.
The big storyline—aside from the COVID-19 scare—is injuries. The Saints have already declared six starters out for Sunday’s game, including five former Pro Bowlers. That list includes star wide receiver Michael Thomas, both starting cornerbacks in Marshon Lattimore and Janoris Jenkins and veteran guard Andrus Peat.
The Lions, on the other hand, are coming in healthier than they’ve been in a while. Starting cornerback Desmond Trufant is expected to play, while only one player—special teams ace C.J. Moore—has been declared out.
Still, our Lions staff is a little hesitant to pick the Lions this week. Only three of our 13-person crew are picking the Lions to pull off the home upset. Here’s a look at our score predictions for Week 4.
