The Detroit Lions will have their No. 1 cornerback back on the field for the first time since Week 1. Desmond Trufant is ACTIVE for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

His return comes at a great time for Detroit, as they’re not only dealing with some early-career struggles from first-round pick Jeff Okudah, but Trufant will play against a New Orleans Saints team he’s very familiar with having spent the last seven season in the NFC South.

“He has some great knowledge of this team,” Lions head coach Matt Patricia said this week. “It’s been fun to talk to him about this offense and some of the players that they have, certainly that’s been a big help so far.”

The Lions got more good news, too. Christian Jones, who missed Friday’s practice with a new knee injury is also active, meaning their entire linebacking corps is at the team’s disposal. In fact, the only two inactive players due to injury are C.J. Moore and Hunter Bryant—two players who are considered depth or special teams only players.

As for the Saints, their inactives simply consist of the players we already knew were out: wide receiver Michael Thomas, tight end Jared Cook, guard Andrus Peat, cornerbacks Janoris Jenkins and Marshon Lattimore and defensive end Marcus Davenport.

Here is the full list of inactives for both teams:
