The Detroit Lions may have to prepare for another week without their best playmaker on offense. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay missed Wednesday’s practice with a hip injury suffered back in Week 8 against the Colts.
Golladay has already missed three games this season after missing just one game in the two previous years. In his four and a half games thus far this season, Golladay has 20 catches for 338 yards and two touchdowns. He currently leads all Lions with 67.6 yards per game.
Last week, the Lions struggled to push the ball downfield without Golladay, as Marvin Jones Jr. and Marvin Hall combined for just six catches and 71 yards.
Elsewhere, the Lions are hurting on the offensive line. Halapoulivaati Vaitai sat out on Wednesday with a foot injury that has lingered for several weeks. He had to leave Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Additionally, Tyrell Crosby (ankle) and Joe Dahl (back) were also limited in the team’s opening practice of the week.
There was some good news, though. Wide receiver Jamal Agnew and safety Tracy Walker both returned to practice after missing last week’s game. Additionally, despite leaving Sunday’s game early, rookie cornerback Jeff Okudah practiced on Wednesday, but was limited with an ankle and groin injury.
One interesting thing to keep an eye on is defensive end Everson Griffen was not at practice, but it apparently wasn’t injury related.
Here’s a look at the Lions’ lengthy injury report for Wednesday.
