Detroit Lions star wide receiver Kenny Golladay will miss his fourth game of the season, as the team declared him out for Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team. Golladay missed the first two games of the 2020 season with a hamstring injury, and will now miss his second consecutive games with a hip injury suffered against the Indianapolis Colts.
As for the Lions’ second biggest receiving option, tight end T.J. Hockenson, we’ll have to wait and see for his availability this week. Hockenson returned to practice after missing Thursday’s session with a toe injury, but is officially listed as questionable. Hockenson has yet to miss a game this season, but he’s been dealing with a toe injury for the last week. He currently leads the Lions with 34 receptions in eight games.
For Washington, they have already declared left tackle Geron Christian Sr. out for Sunday, meaning former Lions offensive lineman Cornelius Lucas is set to make his third straight start.
Also something to watch, kicker Dustin Hopkins is listed as questionable, and Washington head coach Ron Rivera called him a game-time decision. If Hopkins can’t go, Washington would likely call up practice squad kicker Kaare Vedvik to the 53-man roster. Vedvik has only attempted two kicks at the NFL level, a missed extra point and a missed 45-yard field goal.
