Washington vs. Lions 2020: Game time, TV schedule, how to watch live

The Lions look to get out of the basement against the nameless Football Team

NFL: Detroit Lions at Washington Redskins Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Fan confidence is in the tank, everything is on fire; rage, fear, loathing, adrenochrome, things of that nature. But other than that, the Detroit Lions are still playing a football game, which might be the greatest crime of them all. Nevertheless, you only get 16 of these things a year, so Lions fans might as well gather around the fire and warm themselves on what may be the final embers of the Boston Boys era for Matt Patricia.

The Lions still have Matthew Stafford, but he’s been struggling mightily. There’s no Kenny Golladay, but the Lions have plenty more weapons to go on. In spite of all the doom and gloom, the Lions remain a slight favorite in Vegas, if for nothing more than home field advantage—even better advantage, since there won’t be boos raining down in Ford Field.

Washington turned the ball over five times against the Giants, but also outgained them in yards. The Football Team (yes we can format that as the name) has been flailing and crashing, and yet like everyone else in the NFC East that flailing and crashing still has them in the division race.

It’s football, Jim, and I don’t have much else to remark on it but that.
