Detroit Lions vs. Washington Football Team first half open thread

Come watch the first half with us.

If cats truly have nine lives, the Detroit Lions are on at least their eighth for the 2020 season. At 3-5, their season is teetering on over, and based on current fan confidence, everyone pretty much thinks it’s already over.

Of course, the players and coaches are singing a different tune. They certainly aren’t happy with what’s happening on the field, but everyone still seems to believe in the process and believe they can turn things around.

Now would be a great time to do so, as Detroit’s next three opponents have losing records. It all starts on Sunday with the worst of the worst: the 2-6 Washington Football Team. If Detroit can’t win against them at home, you can officially call it quits. Call it quits on the 2020 season. Call it quits on the Matt Patricia era. Maybe even call it quits on the Matthew Stafford era.

Yes, the team is just 3-5 and playoff chances are distant, but there’s a lot on the line Sunday.

So let’s watch it all together and chat with each other in the comment section below.

If you want to hang out with me during the game, I’ll be providing live commentary over at the Super Squares Twitch. You can watch that below:
