Tonight’s edition of Monday Night Football is bound to be of interest to Detroit Lions fans. The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings face off in an NFC North clash. These two teams are going in opposite directions.

The Vikings started the year 1-5, but things have turned around after their bye. Two straight wins on the back of Dalvin Cook have rekindled optimism, although a near-perfect record from here on out might be necessary to make the playoffs. A win over the Packers in Week 8 bodes well for a team hoping to turn their fortunes.

The Bears are finally on the losing end of close-fought games. A 5-1 start to the season appears to be a mirage with the team losing three straight against playoff-caliber teams. The offense has been abysmal, and neither Nick Foles nor Mitchell Trubisky have shown the ability to a football team. Chicago is staying alive thanks to their defense, but the future looks grim. A win against a division rival would greatly help their playoff hopes.
