It’s a battle of two teams trying to play catch up in their respective divisions on Monday Night Football.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit behind the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South, and while a Wild Card spot is still an option, the Bucs are aiming higher. With an injury to Drew Brees, the Saints are without their Hall of Fame quarterback, giving an opportunity for Tom Brady and company to seize the division. A 46-point stomping of the Carolina Panthers last week speaks heavily to the firepower that offense has, and their defense ain’t too shabby either as the top-ranked defense by DVOA.
The Los Angeles Rams aren’t too far behind either, with two talented cores on both side of the field. They are chasing the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West, and last week’s victory over them helped even the field. Winning tonight is equally important to keep the Arizona Cardinals in the rearview mirror. Home field advantage might not mean as much this season, but it is still a welcome reward for the upcoming playoffs.
