Lions injury report: Kenny Golladay OUT, D’Andre Swift questionable vs. Texans

The Lions will again be shorthanded on offense, but they may get one key player back.

The Detroit Lions will continue to have a couple offensive weapons out of the lineup this week for the Thanksgiving Day classic against the Houston Texans. The team announced their final injury report of the week, and both wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola are OUT for Thursday.

That leaves the Lions shorthanded against at the wide receiver position, which is why Mohamed Sanu was signed to the active squad on Wednesday. He joins Marvin Jones Jr., Marvin Hall, Jamal Agnew and Quintez Cephus as the Lions receiving unit for this week.

The good news is that running back D’Andre Swift is listed as questionable, giving him a shot to play this week after missing Sunday’s game with a concussion. Swift was listed as limited in both Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s practices, so it’s unclear where he is in the concussion protocol.

However, the Lions could have another issue at cornerback against Deshaun Watson and one of the best passing offenses in the league. Rookie Jeff Okudah has already been declared out with a shoulder injury, and Mike Ford is out with a concussion. Meanwhile, Amani Oruwariye popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a new back injury that has him questionable for this week. With three cornerbacks potentially out and two already on IR (Darryl Roberts, Tony McRae), the Lions may have to rely on Desmond Trufant, Justin Coleman and Dee Virgin.

Here’s the full injury report for the Lions:

CB Mike Ford (concussion) - OUT
DL Da’Shawn Hand (groin) - OUT
CB Jeff Okudah (shoulder) - OUT
WR Kenny Golladay (hip) - OUT
WR Danny Amendola (hip) - OUT
DE Austin Bryant (thigh) - OUT
RB D’Andre Swift (concussion) - Questionable
LB Reggie Ragland (ankle) - Questionable
CB Amani Oruwariye (back) - Questionable
