You’re probably mid Thanksgiving leftover sandwich right now, and Matt Patricia is still the head coach of the Detroit Lions, and general manager Bob Quinn is still at his post, as well.
While that’s understandably frustrating given both Detroit’s performance over the past couple months and owner Sheila Ford Hamp’s completely silence on the matter, it does feel like at this point we’re just waiting out the inevitable. If it happens today, Monday or at the end of the season, it essentially has to happen now. Everyone saw you with your head in your hands, Mrs. Ford Hamp, and this regime couldn’t even clear your low bar of meaningful games in December.
So while we sit and wait patiently—as we have all grown far too accustomed to do—let’s kick off a Detroit Lions mailbag. In the comment section below, or using the hashtag #AskPOD on Twitter, send us any and all of your questions. Try to be creative or at least interesting, because we don’t need 50 people asking “What’s taking them so long?” or “Who do you want to be the next coach/GM?”
And while you wait, make sure you’re up to date on the latest podcast. We recorded the newest episode right after the Thanksgiving game, so catch our thoughts on the game and what’s next for Sheila Ford Hamp.
