Ranking the Lions’ best coaching candidates

Our staff takes a crack at naming the best men for the job.

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

On the latest episode of the Pride Of Detroit PODcast, we LISTCAST like never before.

Everyone has their favorite candidates for the Lions coaching hire, but only with the LISTCAST do we place them in order and yell at each other about it. Rest assured, there is plenty to yell about: the decision will change the fate of the Detroit Lions for years to come.

But will the Lions select someone that fans know and have come to love dearly this early, or go outside the box? Is it going to be someone like a Robert Saleh, or perhaps Byron Leftwich? What are the cases for each of them?

On this episode, we lay out the cases for a number of coaches, plus a number that we simply do not want to see take on the mantle whatsoever.

We also have mailbag questions in regards to—what else?—head coaching. It’s locked and loaded and ready for your perusal.
