It’s a battle of two teams in the playoff hunt on Monday Night Football with very different paths ahead of them.
The Seattle Seahawks are in a heated battle for the NFC West, a division with nearly every team in contention. Seattle currently leads with a 7-3 record, but the Rams (7-4), Cardinals (6-5), and 49ers (5-6) are hot on their heels. A win against those same Cardinals last week split the season series between the two teams, and Seattle could do some damage in the weeks to come. With the Giants, Jets, and Football Team on the horizon, Seattle could have some easy wins ahead of them, and tonight’s game could be a similar story.
The Philadelphia Eagles are also in a division-wide logjam, but they are located in the floundering NFC East. Philadelphia sits in third in the division behind the 4-7 Giants and Football team, and we could easily see a sub-.500 team in the playoffs. The team has struggled all season long, failing to top 30 points in every game. Two recent losses to the Giants and Browns have cast doubt regarding the future of Carson Wentz as a franchise quarterback, and some are calling for rookie Jalen Hurts to step in.
