The Detroit Lions will be missing a couple key players on Sunday, but none of them will be a surprise.
First and foremost, quarterback Matthew Stafford WILL PLAY after clearing COVID protocol and testing negative this weekend.
But as declared earlier in the week, wide receiver Kenny Golladay is OUT with a hip injury. As a result, Lions fifth-round rookie Quintez Cephus is active for the first time in a few weeks. It’s unclear if he’ll start or whether they’ll put Marvin Hall across from Marvin Jones Jr., but don’t be surprised to see both on Sunday.
Also out is safety Tracy Walker, wide receiver/punt returner Jamal Agnew and guard Joe Dahl.
The good news is that offensive line Halapoulivaati Vaitai and linebacker Christian Jones are both active, despite being listed as questionable this week. With Vaitai active and Dahl out, the Lions will likely start Vaitai at right guard and slip Tyrell Crosby at right tackle.
Here’s a list of each team’s inactives for Week 9.
Lions inactives:
WR Kenny Golladay
S Tracy Walker

G Joe Dahl
OL Logan Stenberg
