The Detroit Lions have quite a task ahead of them. To keep their long-shot odds at the playoffs alive, they’ll have to take down a Green Bay Packers team that is playing at an elite level right now. They’ve won four of their last five games, and three of those four victories have been by 14 points or more.
But given that so many people were predicting this team to regress heavily from their 13-3 season last year, how have they managed to only look even better this offseason? They didn’t add any key players, they didn’t make any significant coaching changes, and they haven’t exactly had a piece-of-cake schedule.
So what exactly is going on here? Why are the Packers always destined to be good?
We pulled in our frenemy from Acme Packing Company Tex Western to answer all those questions, and to help us preview Sunday’s game. Is there anything the Lions can do to slow Aaron Rodgers? Can D’Andre Swift keep the Lions’ offensive momentum moving in the right direction? Any key injuries for either team this week?
Western gives us his answers and predictions for Sunday in our latest First Byte podcast. You can listen and download the podcast on any of your favorite platforms, or you can watch the video podcast on our YouTube and Twitch pages.
