NFL Week 15 picks: Detroit Lions vs. Tennessee Titans score predictions

Prediction: Pain.

It appears Matthew Stafford will dial up some more heroics this week and play, despite painful rib cartilage damage suffered last week. It’s honorable on Stafford’s part, and it’s a big reason he’s endeared himself to an overly critical fanbase in Detroit.

But it’s hard to imagine his presence being enough this week. The Tennessee Titans are one of the best teams in a very competitive AFC this year. They’ve got one of the best, most-balanced offenses in the entire league, and we all know the defense the Lions will be countering with.

So it should come as no surprise that when it comes to our picks this week, nobody is predicting the Lions to pull off the upset. In fact, all but one of us are predicting a blowout (thank you for being the brave one, Jerry).

Darrell Bevell may have the Lions playing better than they did under Matt Patricia, but we’ve been warning of this schedule for weeks now. It’s time to see if Bevell is merely a good motivator or a dang miracle worker. Detroit is understandably an 11-point road dog, and that’s why all of our predictions look like this:

Kellie Rowe (8-5): Titans win
Ryan Mathews (8-5): 30-21 Titans
Justin Simon (8-5): 35-24 Titans (Read Justin’s preview here)
Kyle Yost (7-6): 35-20 Titans
Jeremy Reisman (7-6): 35-20 Titans (Read Jeremy’s preview here)
Alex Reno (7-6): Titans win
Jerry Mallory (7-6): 34-26 Titans
Chris Perfett (6-6-1): 33-4 Titans
Mansur Shaheen (6-7): Titans win
Mike Payton (6-7): 42-20 Titans
Hamza Baccouche (5-7): 30-20 Titans
John Whiticar (5-8): 37-20 Titans win
Andrew Kato (4-9): 31-10 Titans
