The Lions took their lumps in Nashville on Sunday, in spite of efforts by Matthew Stafford to take the field and drag this team to something resembling competition. Unfortunately, the defense is not a place where a quarterback can make a difference, and things racked up quickly as the rails came off.
But while that’s interesting, the real action for the Lions is coming off the field almost as much as it is on. The general manager search heats up as Detroit interviews four names - Louis Riddick headlining those names, but some key former executives also make the list.
We’re breaking down each candidate: you’ve been hearing from the local color on many of these candidates, but we’re now injecting our own two cents. Jeremy and I both have our own criteria on what we want to see with a general manager, and we’re going to tell you how these guys fit our wants.
Also in this episode: notes on D’Andre Swift’s future, Marvin Jones Jr.’s impending contract and potential future with the Lions, plus updating the draft position jockeying.
