Tonight’s edition of Sunday Night Football features two teams with very different journeys so far.
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to dominate the standings at 10-1, but their margins of victory have gotten narrower over the recent weeks. After stomping the Jets in Week 8, the Chiefs beat the Panthers by a mere two points, the Raiders by four, and the Buccaneers by three. The offense is still a force to be reckoned with, but the defense could use a tune up. There is no better time than tonight.
The Broncos are the opposite of a powerhouse. While the defense has been decent, the offense has been a whirlwind. Last week, they started Kendall Hinton at quarterback, an undrafted quarterback-turned-receiver from their practice squad. The return of an actual quarterback in Drew Lock after a COVID scare is welcome news for Denver, but even with him at the helm, scoring has been an issue. The Broncos scored just 16 points in their last meeting with the Chiefs, and they’re hoping for more success tonight.
