Here’s a look at the Detroit Lions’ Week 13 snap counts against the Chicago Bears.

Offense

Observations:

• Interim head coach Darrell Bevell shook up the running back usage a little in this game, and probably not to most fans’ liking. Adrian Peterson jumped to a 47 percent participation rate, his highest since Week 3.
• Two Lions offensive players made their NFL debuts on Sunday: tight end Hunter Bryant and guard Logan Stenberg. Bryant’s debut was quieter than expected after the team cut Isaac Nauta, and Stenberg only showed up on special teams to replace the injured Tyrell Crosby. However, we could see both players get more playing time in the final few weeks of the season.
• Interestingly enough, it was Mohamed Sanu who saw the biggest rise in playing time with Marvin Hall recently waived. Rookie Quintez Cephus got a bump, too, but his 46 percent of snaps was just his fourth-highest of the season.

Observations:

• Bobby Price was the third Lions player to make his NFL debut on Sunday. He played the most of all three, with an impressive 19 special teams snaps. He even logged his first career NFL tackle.
• The Lions did this weird thing where they kept their best players on the field for the majority of the game. Romeo Okwara saw a season-high 96 percent of snaps. Nick Williams also set a career high. Jamie Collins, Amani Oruwariye and Duron Harmon were all on the field for all but two snaps for Collins. It’s not unheard of, but it’s certainly unusual to see so few substitutions for this Lions defense.
• Jahlani Tavai continues to consistently get the second-highest number of snaps from the linebacking crew, and it’s starting to pay off. Tavai was the Lions’ second-highest graded defender on Sunday, only behind Nick Williams.

Special teams:

Matt Prater: 12 (40%)
Jack Fox: 9 special teams snaps (30%)
Don Muhlbach: 9 (30%)

• Hey, a special teams note! Matt Prater took over kickoffs from Jack Fox and jumped to the front of the special teams snap count line. Not sure the reasoning behind that, but we’ll probably get an answer this week out of special teams coordinator Brayden Coombs.
