The Detroit Lions confirmed the re-signing of wide receiver Danny Amendola on Monday afternoon, as initially reported by NFL Network’s Peter Schrager.
And if there was any doubt that Amendola has bought into the Lions and the Detroit culture, the photo of him signing his new deal erased any trace of that:

That’s Amendola sporting a famous “Detroit vs. Everybody” hoodie as he inks a new deal with the team. That phrase has become a bit of a motto for Lions football after the franchise has found themselves on the unfortunate end of bad officiating or obscure, outdated rules. The phrase has become so widespread that it’s even painted on the entrance tunnel at Ford Field.

The terms of Amendola’s deal still have not been reported, although the initial story from Schrager noted that it was a one-year deal for Amendola, who finished 2019 with 62 catches, 678 yards and one touchdown (to go along with a touchdown pass).
