The Detroit Lions announced earlier this week that they have resigned Danny Amendola to a one-year contract.
And with free agency less than a three weeks away, it’s time to think about if anyone else is worth getting under contract before the free agency period begins.
Here’s the full list of remaining free agents:
- Mike Daniels
- Tavon Wilson
- Sam Martin
- Rashaan Melvin
- Jermaine Kearse
- A’Shawn Robinson
- Oday Aboushi
- Don Muhlbach
- Logan Thomas
- Graham Glasgow
- Miles Killebrew
- J.D. McKissic (RFA)
- Jeff Driskel
- Darius Kilgo
- Jamie Meder (RFA)
- Mike Ford (ERFA)
- Dee Virgin (ERFA)
- Kenny Wiggins
Many of the names on that list are role players, but there are a few starters as well. Guys like Tavon Wilson, Rashaan Melvin, Sam Martin, and Graham Glasgow all were significant starters for the Lions last season.
So today’s Question of the Day is:
Should the Lions re-sign anyone else before free agency?
My answer: The only player I feel strongly about is Graham Glasgow. Unfortunately, I think he’s the least likely on this least to re-sign before free agency. My gut tells me he probably won’t be back after free agency either.
What do you think? Should the Lions get any of these guys under contract before the free agency frenzy begins in a few weeks?
